The deputy of Tourism, Virginia Martí, has described as a “resounding success” the decision of the Diputación de Castellón to move the traditional spring fair of Castelló Ruta de Sabor to the port of Grao, on the occasion of the celebration of the fifth edition of Escala a Castelló, an event that once again has had a majority support from the public.
There have been 19 artisan producers who have exhibited in this edition, with whom the vice president Patricia Puerta and Virginia Martí herself have had the opportunity to talk, in their location in the gastronomic area set up in Escala a Castelló, where the public has been able to enjoy the various presentations and culinary demonstrations.
The deputy responsible for the area of Tourism also stressed that most of the companies participating in the event come from 14 municipalities in the different regions of the province, which in her opinion is “an excellent promotion of the most traditional products of each part of a territory as varied and diversified gastronomically as ours”.
Martí recalled that gastronomic tourism “is one of the strategic lines of his department, which contributes to the generation of economic activity and job creation”.
