The Provincial Council of Castellón will turn tomorrow the capital of Castellón into the epicenter of the sale and consumption of native black truffle through the II Mercat de la Trufa i els Productes Nadalencs (Truffle and Christmas Products Market). From 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, truffle producers of the province as well as companies of Castellón nougat and other Christmas products will participate in this initiative with which the Provincial Council, through its brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor, promotes the consumption of products of the province. An initiative that is part of the campaign that the Provincial Council is implementing for the consumption of products of the province this Christmas.
The provincial deputy of Rural Development, Pablo Roig, said that “we encourage all the people of Castellón to come to the Truffle Market to buy this product for next Christmas. With this call we want to publicize a product that is highly prized around the world and by the best chefs and we want to make it known among the people of Castellón so that they become the best prescribers”.
The main objective of this market corresponds to that of the brand of local products of the Provincial Council, Castelló Ruta de Sabor, to promote the products of the province and promote their consumption in the coming Christmas season, as well as to support the gastronomy of Castellón and tourism in the producing municipalities.
“In this market you can buy fresh truffle and derived products such as oils, cheeses, sausages, truffled eggs, as well as other typical products of these dates, such as nougat,” explained the deputy Roig.

There will be 20 stands of provincial producers and truffle growers, as well as a full program of activities with a nutritional talk about Castelló Ruta de Sabor products at 11:00 am by IS Dietistas, and a live concert by Lisbeth Freites Quartet at 18:00 pm.
