The Diputación de Castellón promotes the consumption of local gastronomic products as the best option on the tables of Castellón to say goodbye to 2018. Thus, the Provincial Government has disseminated these days a series of online videos in which several chefs of the province appear hand in hand with Martín Berasategui explaining the attractions of the different products that characterize the cuisine of Castellón, whether meat, vegetables, fish or seafood. With this, the Provincial Government continues to work to generate new opportunities in the villages through greater consumption of products produced in the province with its brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor of which Martín Berasategui is a great ambassador, and does so especially these dates with the hashtag #TriaCastelló. The provincial deputy of Rural Development, Pablo Roig, explained that “this campaign aims to value our products by the hand of one of the best chefs in the world and great ambassador of our brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor. Together we are walking in the generation of new opportunities for such an important sector for our province as fishing and an activity of which we are deeply proud”. The deputy thanked the involvement of Martin Berasategui in the project and said that “for the province is a real luxury to have Martin Berasategui among us helping us as ambassador of a province that believes in its products and that going hand in hand with none other than the Spanish chef with more Michelin stars in our country we can meet the challenge of putting our products in the place they deserve. In the different audiovisual pieces, all of them less than a minute long, the chef from San Sebastian appears talking with colleagues from the province of Castellón, all of them highlighting the great potential of Castellón’s products, whether from the sea, the mountains, the orchard or the best meats.

To promote the consumption of products from the province.

With this initiative, the Provincial Government continues to work to publicize and promote the products of Castellón as a source of new opportunities for the future of the province. A promotional work that intensifies during this Christmas season. It should be noted that after four years of experience, the brand of the Provincial Council Castelló Ruta de Sabor has managed to bring together more than 100 producers from 15 different food sectors, two designations of origin, a Protected Geographical Indication and 6 products with distinctive Natural Park. It is a brand present in stores, fairs, supermarkets and supermarkets in the province and part of the Spanish territory.
