The Provincial Council makes Castelló Ruta de Sabor the highlight of Gastrónoma

The Castellón Provincial Council will promote the quality of Castellón products at the Gastrónoma Fair to multiply their economic opportunities.

The Diputación de Castellón will promote the quality of Castellón products at the Gastrónoma Fair to multiply their economic opportunities. From the hand of 30 producers of the province, the ‘michelin star’ chefs and through the guide brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor, the Provincial Government participates in this first level fair to be held from 4 to 6 November in Valencia with a provincial stand that will discover the virtues of the products of Castellón to more than 15,000 professionals and gastronomic prescribers.

The president of the Provincial Council, Javier Moliner, stressed at the presentation of this innovative promotional space that “the main objective of participating in this first class event is to make things easier for our entrepreneurs and help them grow, as a business and promotional opportunity”.

For the first time, the Castellón Provincial Council and its product guide brand, Castelló Ruta de Sabor, are participating in Gastrónoma as official sponsors “to position our brand in the national sector and publicize the excellence, quality and variety of our gastronomic heritage, of which we are so proud, among the specialized public. We take the products of Castellón to top-level showcases that would otherwise be impossible to reach”.

It should be noted that the presentation of the Castelló Ruta de Sabor stand was also attended by the president of Gastrónoma, Carlos Mataix, and the director of Gastrónoma, Alejandro Roda. Both have thanked the participation of the Provincial Council in this great event. “We agree on the three objectives of the fair, which are: to transmit the gastronomic culture, to help the hospitality industry of the Valencian Community to continue improving and advancing, and to promote the image of gastronomic tourism in the Valencian Community, in this case especially that of the province of Castellón.”

An innovative stand for Castelló Ruta de Sabor

The Diputación de Castellón will install a central stand of 160 square meters in which a total of 21 producers from sectors as diverse as water, liquors, nougat, oil, sweets, tomatoes, artichokes, jams and cheeses will work and exhibit their products.

The space will also have a specific wine area, with the representation of six winemakers and three craft beer producers. A total of 30 producers will be exhibiting their products in this first-class gastronomic showcase, twice as many as in previous years.

From the hand of the ‘star michelin’ castellonenses

The Provincial Council has arranged all the resources to make the stand of Castelló Ruta de Sabor the best gastronomic representation of Castellón. That is why it has also encouraged the participation in this stand of the two ‘michelin star’ chefs of the province, Miguel Barrera and Raúl Resino.

“Because we not only have the best products, but also the talent of our people, the know-how of our ancestors who represent at the highest level the two best chefs of our land,” explained the president.

Castelló Ruta de Sabor, a brand with more than 100 products

Castelló Ruta de Sabor is already one of the most powerful gastronomic brands in Spain, which includes among its products two designations of origin, one Protected Geographical Indication and six with a Natural Park label.

“Together we have managed to create a unique brand that encompasses products from all corners of the province and that adds opportunities to this land with more international promotion, training, resources for innovation and guarantees that the quality at the table remains our flagship,” concluded the president.

It should be recalled that a total of 80 producers from the province belonging to 14 sectors of activity, with more than 100 products, are part of the brand.
