The Diputación de Castellón brings together from this afternoon until next Sunday night brewers and food producers of the province in the I Craft Beer Fair Castelló Ruta de Sabor, which takes place in the Plaza Las Aulas in Castellón. This new event will be one of the 21 actions with which the Provincial Government, through its brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor, will promote the consumption of local products until the end of the year and after the recent incorporation of 40 new producers to the differentiating element.
The president of the Diputación de Castellón, Javier Moliner, has toured part of the fair this afternoon, coinciding with its opening. “We bring together in the same space different craft beer producers of our province and some of the best and most representative foods of our gastronomy. We have the best pantry in the Mediterranean and with initiatives like this, from Castelló Ruta de Sabor, we want to turn the people of Castellón into the best ambassadors of the products of our land”.
It should be noted that five craft beer producers from Castellón are participating in the fair, such as Castelló Beer Factory, Cervesa Montmirà, Badúm, Isanbeer and Canabeer.
Live music and the food truck with food from Castelló Ruta de Sabor are complementary attractions to the rich variety of craft beers brewed in municipalities of the province that can already be tasted.
More than 100 products already included in the brand
The consolidation of the brand of local products Castelló Ruta de Sabor as a dynamic element of the agri-food sector of the province is already a reality with the recent inclusion of 40 new producers. There are now 80 producers and more than 100 products from 14 different agri-food sectors.
The ambition of the Provincial Council of Castellón with the enhancement of the gastronomy of the province is such that the Government of the province is already working on the creation of Castelló Ruta de Sabor as a new tourism product of Castellón.
Thus, through the gastronomic resource of the products and the whole process of elaboration in the municipalities of Castellón, the Provincial Council will work hand in hand with municipalities and producers in order to value these products, all the natural and cultural heritage linked to them and attract visitors to the villages not only through the realization of gastronomic and commercial events, but also incorporate a series of tourist experiences with more complementary offerings that allow visitors to know the towns of Castellón through its gastronomic tradition.
