The Provincial Council will concentrate throughout the weekend in the central Plaza de las Aulas de Castelló the best selection of gastronomic products of the province in the Fira de Nadal of ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’. For the second year, the sample lands a few days before the celebration of Christmas “to encourage the consumption of products from our region during the holidays,” explained José Martí, president of the corporation.
The provincial institution has confirmed today the participation of 20 artisan producers, twice as many as last year. The official opening is marked for Friday at 10 am. In addition to the president will also participate the deputy of Rural Development, Santi Perez, and the deputy of Tourism, Virginia Marti.
Each stand will offer a different specialty, from sweets and liquors to meats, cheeses and vegetables. José Martí is confident that the sales figures “will be very positive” for all producers.
The president also stressed that most of the producers who have confirmed their presence come, mostly, from the provincial interior, so it has encouraged citizens to consume this Christmas products of the land and ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’. In this way, he says, “we will be contributing to move the wealth for our regions and create new jobs”.
In addition to the gastronomic exhibition, the fair will also include dynamic activities for all audiences, ranging from showcookings to product presentations.
The exhibition hours will be Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., while Sunday’s closing time will be moved to 2 p.m.
