The Diputación de Castellón supports the producers of Castelló Ruta de Sabor that these days participate in the Salón Gourmets in Madrid. More than 100,000 professionals are meeting these days at the so-called Fair of Food and Beverage Quality held at the Ifema exhibition center in Madrid until tomorrow Thursday, April 11. This is one of the most prestigious high-end product events in the world. With a track record of 33 consecutive editions, this professional fair is aimed at the hospitality industry and food distribution, both nationally and internationally.
The deputy responsible for the Castelló Ruta de Sabor brand, Pablo Roig, has been present at the fair throughout the day today, to give his support to the Castellón producers who have participated in the event. “We support the work that producers are doing in this fair to promote the quality of Castellón products among thousands of professionals.”
At the Salón Gourmets, different provincial food brands have introduced attendees to the richness and variety of the gastronomy of Castellón and its products, some as innovative as the new ‘trompe l’oeil’ chocolates flavored with black truffle from Fruits de la Terra de la Pobla de Benifassà.
Championship of the best cheeses of Spain 2019
In addition, tomorrow Thursday the fair will host the final of the ‘Championship of The Best Cheeses of Spain 2019’ in which a cheese of the brand Tot de Poble de les Coves de Vinromà and another of Quesos de Catí will participate, in the categories of ‘cured sheep’ and ‘soft paste’, respectively.
Note: The producers of Castelló Ruta de Sabor participating in the fair are: Fruits de la Terra (Pobla de Benifassà), Dulces La Cartuja (Altura), Gil Artesanos (Altura), Tot de Poble (Les Coves), Quesos de Catí, Finas Rosquilletas and Azahar Licores (Burriana) and DO Aceite Comunitat Valenciana in which oils produced in Castellón are included.
