The quality and variety of the products of the province of Castellón have these days their space in Gastrónoma 2019, the Mediterranean gastronomic fair in which, from yesterday Sunday until tomorrow Tuesday, more than 40 Michelin stars and 50 Repsol suns will meet in an event that, in its fourth edition, occupies up to 13,000 m2 of Feria Valencia. The president of the Provincial Council of Castellón, José Martí, visited Gastrónoma this morning to make clear to the producers of the province the “full support of the Provincial Council to the work and effort they make to value the products of our province”. Martí, accompanied by the regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer; the director of Gastrónoma, Alejandro Roda, and Cuchita Lluch, executive president of the event, visited the fair along with the provincial deputies of Tourism, Virginia Martí, and Rural Development, Santi Pérez, who have been able to meet one by one the 27 producers grouped under the name of Castelló Ruta de Sabor. The Diputación de Castellón invests 28,050 euros in this event, of which it is one of the main sponsors along with the Diputación de Valencia and Turisme Comunitat Valenciana. José Martí, after visiting all the stands under the umbrella of Castelló Ruta del Sabor, has highlighted the “great presence of Castelló at the fair”, stressing “how well considered are the products of Castellón in Gastrónoma”. The president stressed “the quality of our products and the clear commitment to innovation”. In this sense, the president of the Provincial Council considers that “gastronomy is essential in tourism and there we will be supporting the Ruta del Sabor and making our province as well known as it deserves in the gastronomic aspect and artisan production”. Virgina Martí, whose department now assumes the coordination of Castelló Ruta del Sabor, has insisted that the presence of the Provincial Council in Gastrónoma is necessary “because here the best products of the Valencian Community and other parts of Spain are exhibited”. According to Martí, “without the support of the Provincial Council many of our producers could not have a presence at the fair”. The deputy is convinced that “we have to be at Gastrónoma because gastronomic tourism is becoming more and more important and because in this field, due to the quality of our products, the province of Castellón can compete with full guarantees of success”. In addition, “it so happens that our province is the only one that attends this promotional event with its own brand”. The companies integrated in Castelló Ruta del Sabor that are present in Gastrónoma are Agua de Benassal, Granja Boverals, Coop. AG San Isidro, Licores Nelet, Magistratus, Turrones Agut, Cooperativa Viver, Manantial de Almedíjar S.L, Bodega Flors, Fruits de la Terra, Mas de Rander, Masía dels Fumeros, Salsas Artesanas F.
