Tuesday, 07 March 2023 - Castelló Ruta de Sabor

The deputy of Rural Development, Santi Pérez, has highlighted the important role that the provincial institution is developing to “help and make visible” the work of oil producers and cooperatives in the province.

The deputy of Rural Development, Santi Pérez, today attended the X edition of the oil fair World Olive Oil Exhibition (WOOE) held in Madrid. It is a fair specializing in virgin olive oil, where companies from Castellón participate under the umbrella of Castelló Ruta de Sabor. Artesanos Gil (Altura), Pobill Ecològics (Càlig) and Orgània Oleum Varona La Vella (Sant Mateu) have attended the fair. It should be noted that this is the second consecutive year in which the Diputación de Castellón participates in this fair.

Perez has highlighted the important role being developed by the Diputación de Castellón to “help and make visible” the work of oil producing companies and cooperatives in the province of Castelló. “On the part of the Diputación de Castellón, we maintain our commitment to disseminate the work of producers and cooperatives, so that people know them more and more and know firsthand what they do,” added the provincial deputy.

It should be noted that the World Olive Oil Exhibition is the largest fair in the world dedicated exclusively to olive oil and is a unique space in which up to 47 countries are cited. That is why, from the Diputación de Castellón, attendance at this fair is considered a great opportunity to show the quality of the oils produced in the province of Castellón. A quality that, on the other hand, is being recognized with the awards obtained in several competitions.

In order to attend the fair, the provincial institution enables a registration period, which is subsequently adjudicated.
