A total of 28 producers grouped under the name of Castelló Ruta de Sabor will occupy a central and preeminent space in the fourth edition of Gastrónoma, the Mediterranean gastronomic fair to be held at Feria Valencia on 10, 11 and 12 November. This has been specified in the course of the meeting held by the provincial deputy of Tourism, Virginia Martí, and the provincial deputy of Rural Development, Santi Pérez, with the director of Gastrónoma, Alejandro Roda. The Diputación de Castellón invests 28,050 euros in this event, which is one of the main sponsors along with the Diputación de Valencia and Turisme Comunitat Valenciana.
Virgina Martí has pointed out that this is a necessary investment “because in this show the best products of the Valencian Community and other parts of Spain are exposed”. According to Martí, “without the support of the Provincial Council many of our producers could not have a presence at the fair because they could not afford the cost of the stand”.
The deputy is convinced that “Gastrónoma is a fair where you have to be because gastronomic tourism is becoming more and more important and because in this field, for the quality of our products, the province of Castellón can compete with full guarantees of success”. In addition, “it so happens that our province is the only one that attends this promotional event with its own brand”. The 28 producers that will be grouped under the brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor will occupy the stand of the Diputación de Castellón.
Gastrónoma is an open forum that brings together major chefs, manufacturers, distributors, small retailers and artisans, which in the 2018 edition registered more than 17,000 visits. In the 2019 edition, which is expected to be the best in history, it will have 30% more space to provide the best possible service to an increasingly professional public. The total number of stands will be 300.
