A total of 71 bars and restaurants will participate in the X Route of the Tapa – Sabores de Castelló

It will be held between November 7 and 30. It is expected the participation of 60,000 people, a consumption of 180,000 tapas and a turnover of 1.9 million euros.

A total of 71 bars and restaurants located in the areas West (6), East (20), North (12) and Center (33) of the city of Castelló will participate between 7 and 30 November in the X Ruta de la Tapa – Sabores de Castelló, sponsored by the Provincial Council of Castellón and its reference brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor, as well as the City Council of the capital and Turisme Comunitat Valenciana through its gastronomic brand L’Exquisit Mediterrani. This has been reported at the gala presentation that was held this afternoon in the Node room of the Hotel Jaime I, which was attended by the provincial deputy of Tourism, Virginia Martí. This is a route contest to which a total of 142 tapas will be presented, two for each local registered, which must be prepared with some reference to a product of the local or provincial cuisine. In this year’s edition, the Castelló Ruta de Sabor brand will be promoted and the establishments that use the products included in it will be registered. It is estimated that around 60,000 people will participate, generating a consumption of around 180,000 tapas and a turnover of 1.9 million euros. During the route there will be various promotional and communication events aimed at the public and the media. The end will be on December 10 with the awards ceremony, which will be decided by public vote and the opinion of a gastronomic committee that will include experts and sponsors. The provincial deputy of Tourism has reported that in this year’s edition will participate 13 local more than in the previous one and has shown his conviction that gastronomy “will be crucial for the promotion of tourism in the province of Castellón, whose products, for its quality, enjoy great acceptance”. Mercat Central de Castelló and DIL will be the official suppliers of this event, which will have Magna as the official beer. This year’s image is a work called Menú, created by the painter Traver Calzada. One of the novelties this year will be the first gastronomic photography contest of Castelló, Gastropixelcs, in which the public can participate through the official Instagram profile of the route @sabores_castellon showing black and white images of the city of Castelló.
