A selection of Castellón gastronomy and several live musical performances will energize the ‘I Feria de la Cervesa Artesanal Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ with which the Diputación de Castellón will contribute to position the quality of the local beer among the castellonenes. This new event, which begins tomorrow, Friday, and continues throughout the weekend in the Plaza Las Aulas in Castellón, will be one of the 21 actions with which the Provincial Government, through its brand Castelló Ruta de Sabor, will promote the consumption of local products until the end of the year and after the recent addition of 40 new producers to the differentiating element.
The deputy responsible for Castelló Ruta de Sabor, Pablo Roig, has been convinced “of the good reception that will have this fair. We energize the activity of the center of Castellón during the weekend through the enhancement of our products because we want the people of Castellón become the best ambassadors of the gastronomy of our land”.
In this sense, Roig recalled that “it is precisely this last quarter of the year when the promotion of local products is intensified to coincide with the dates leading up to Christmas”.
It should be noted that five craft beer producers from Castellón have already confirmed their participation in this event: Castelló Beer Factory, Cervesa Montmirà, Badúm, Isanbeer and Canabeer.
“We have created, hand in hand with producers, an event that serves to boost the activity of Castellón during the weekend through our products. Thus, there will be a foodtruck with food from Castelló Ruta de Sabor and live music during the three days of Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” explained the deputy.
An increasingly consolidated brand
The consolidation of the brand of local products Castelló Ruta de Sabor as a dynamic element of the agri-food sector of the province is already a reality with the recent inclusion of 40 new producers. There are now 80 producers and more than 100 products from 14 different agri-food sectors.
The ambition of the Provincial Council of Castellón with the enhancement of the gastronomy of the province is such that the Government of the province is already working on the creation of Castelló Ruta de Sabor as a new tourism product of Castellón.
Thus, through the gastronomic resource of the products and the whole process of elaboration in the municipalities of Castellón, the Provincial Council will work hand in hand with municipalities and producers in order to value these products, all the natural and cultural heritage linked to them and attract visitors to the villages not only through the realization of gastronomic and commercial events, but also incorporate a series of tourist experiences with more complementary offerings that allow visitors to know the towns of Castellón through its gastronomic tradition.
