Itinerary

La Vall d’Uixó

What to visit and what to do

  • Visit the Coves de Sant Josep and navigate the longest underground river in Europe that flows through the bowels of the Sierra de Espadán. For the more adventurous, there is the possibility of doing a speleokayak activity.
  • Eat in one of the restaurants located inside a natural cave, which has a large wine cellar and a varied gastronomic offer consisting of typical dishes from the interior and the best products from the coast.
  • Buy orange or mandarin marmalades and liqueurs made from local citrus fruits, and meet the friendly shopkeepers who will be happy to chat with you.
  • Walk through the town centre of La Vall d’Uixó along the Camí de l’Aguia. This itinerary follows the route of the old irrigation channel, where the Aigualit aqueducts and the Muslim quarters of l’Alcudia and Zeneta stand out.
  • Stop at the market to buy the characteristic local cheese and take home other delicacies from the province.
