Nit de la Xulla
Event Description
The streets and houses of Vila-real are filled with bonfires and embers during the patron saint festivities to celebrate one of its most deeply rooted traditions: La Nit de la Xulla. This event takes place on Monday holidays in May (San Pascual festivities) and September (Virgen de Gracia festivities). During this night, the inhabitants of Vila-real cook and enjoy the typical meat grills that characterize this popular festivity. In addition, prior to the xulla, the Plaza Mayor hosts the famous ajoaceite contest.
