Marta Barrachina distinguishes the quality of Castellón’s liquid gold at the second edition of the AOVE Awards

The president of the Provincial Council of Castellón praises the effort, commitment and dedication of producers “who know how to exploit the wealth of a privileged territory”. Organia Oleum, Pobill Ecològics and Bardomus were awarded prizes that reward “the work of olive growers”. “Castellón is the cradle of excellent oils thanks to the talent and dedication of professionals who pamper this unique land”.

The president of the Provincial Council, Marta Barrachina, today highlighted the “quality and excellence of the liquid gold of our province” in the delivery of the AOVE awards that convenes in collaboration with the Intercoop Foundation and that has taken place in the Natural Museum of Ancient Olive Trees of La Jana.

Accompanied by the mayor of the town, César Simó, the first president of the Provincial Council of Castellón has distinguished “the dedication, effort and commitment” of the olive growers who produce oils exclusively in the province of Castellón. “Your work in this unique land that we share is a prize that we enjoy with products that offer an outstanding mouthfeel that is a hallmark of our identity.”

“Castellón is a unique province thanks to the talent of each of its neighbors”. “This passionate commitment that you dedicate to your farms deserves today our recognition for so much effort, because it is fortunate to be able to enjoy excellent oils on our table, with an optimum quality that are an example of the capacity of this province.”

The Best Bitter Green Fruity Extra Virgin Olive Oil went to Finca Varona La Vella Morrut, from the company Organia Oleum S.L., which also won the award for Best Single Varietal Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Double for a company with experience and great results that is awarded in some prizes in which Farga de Pobill Ecològics wins the Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil Ripe Sweet Fruity.

Finally, the company Bardomus obtained the best score in the category of Best Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Marta Barrachina thanked all the participants for their “involvement”. “Without you, the professionals, this product of absolute quality would not be on our tables. We are the envy of many producers who know that this land is a sign of identity, the pride of a shared land that from the Provincial Council of Castellón we want to put in value. Because promoting the excellence of the province is a duty and a pride that we champion with respect and recognition to the professionals of the field and with the commitment to make our province great. Because betting on Castellón is a guarantee of success,” concluded the provincial president of the Diputación de Castellón.
