Castellón Provincial Council adds 20 new companies certified with the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ and is committed to increasing support for local products.

Vice President Andrés Martínez stresses the importance of valuing and supporting “small local producers, those farmers and fishermen who work tirelessly to bring the best of nature to our tables”. “By adding new members we are demonstrating that our vision of the province from an agri-food and tourism point of view is gaining ground,” said Andrés Martínez.

The Diputación de Castellón has held this morning the gala presentation of certificates of new memberships to the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ where the vice president Andrés Martínez has confirmed the commitment of the institution to increase support for local producers in the province. On this occasion there have been 20 entities that become part of this great family that brings together companies and organizations that value local cuisine and local products, support producers in the province and especially those covered by the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’. The event held in the reception hall of the Provincial Palace has been chaired by the vice president of Tourism, Andrés Martínez, who has reaffirmed the importance of valuing and supporting “small local producers, those farmers and fishermen who work tirelessly to bring to our tables the best of nature”. In his opening speech, the vice president also wanted to highlight “the fundamental role of municipalities, companies throughout the tourism sector that thanks to cooks and chefs, with passion and dedication, give life to each dish and invite us to a unique culinary journey”. The adhered entities are of different typology and, starting with accommodations, the new certified companies are Hotel Boutique Abadía del Mestrat (La Serratella) and Masía Aitona (Les Useres). The gastronomic businesses are Carns I Embotits Maribel (Castellón), Vinalium Castellón, La Terreta (Castellón), two establishments of Taula Supermercats Almassora and Setrufma (Culla). In the activity company category, Tren Turístico de Montanejos has joined, while Tourist Info Argelita joins in the tourist office category. And, finally, in the category of restaurants the new memberships are: Hotel Boutique Abadía del Mestrat (La Serratella), Rubén Miralles Restaurant (Vinaròs), Ri&Co Bistró Restaurante (Benicàssim), San Remo Gastrobar (Altura), Restaurante Casa Eladia By Gadea (la Vall d’Uixó), Casa Arayo (Castellón), Casa Engracia (Pavías), Anhelo Restaurant (Castellón), La Terreta Restaurant (Cabanes) and Parador de Benicarló. “Today, as new members join our ranks, we are demonstrating that our vision of the province from an agri-food and tourism point of view is gaining ground. Each new member is a key piece in this process of growth and evolution,” said Andrés Martínez. Likewise, 45 companies have renewed their certificate and all of them have been given an accrediting diploma. With the new additions, the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ brings together 452 companies in the province and the vice president Andrés Martínez wanted to express his gratitude to those who are already part of the club for their support and commitment. “It has been you who have laid the foundations of the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’, and it is thanks to your dedication that we can continue to grow and move forward”.
