Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ continues to grow with the incorporation of 45 companies in the first half of 2022

Castelló Ruta de Sabor has a total of 420 members, 143 from the agri-food sector and 277 from the tourism sector.

The reception hall of the Provincial Palace of the Provincial Council of Castellón has hosted today the celebration of the ceremony of delivery of badges and certifications to the 45 award-winning companies (39 from the tourism sector and 6 from the agri-food sector) that, after the assessment of the Award Committee of the Castelló Ruta de Sabor badge that took place yesterday, become part of the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’.The provincial deputy of Tourism, Virginia Martiand the deputy for Rural Development, Santiago PerezThe diplomas and membership plaques that identify the full members of the gastronomic tourism product were handed out.

With the adhesion of these new companies, the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ has a total of 420 members, of which 143 are producers of the agri-food sector and 277 correspond to the gastronomic tourism product that brings together companies and entities that are committed to local gastronomy and local products, support the producers of the province and especially those covered by the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’.

Award Committee

Last Thursday, June 30, the Concession Committee of the distinctive ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ took place at the headquarters of the Provincial Council of Castellón to evaluate the adhesion of more than fifty companies and entities interested in being part of the brand. This body, made up of political representatives, technicians and businessmen from the tourism and gastronomic sector, is responsible for granting or denying the use of the differentiating element for companies and entities that request it.

The technical secretariat of Castelló Ruta de Sabor has evaluated, in the first half of the year, a total of 62 companies and entities applying for membership, to analyze their situation with respect to the requirements stipulated in the Tourism Product Manuals of Castelló Ruta de Sabor. After a thorough evaluation, 45 new companies and entities in the province of Castellón have managed to pass the audit process favorably and, therefore, obtain the distinctive tourist-gastronomic product ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’.
