The Provincial Council launches the ‘Primavera Gastronómica’ to promote the culinary wealth of Castellón

In this first edition, 30 establishments adhered to the brand ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ will participate.

The Provincial Council of Castellón opens a new platform to support the provincial gastronomy with the organization of the ‘Gastronomic Spring’ of Castelló Ruta de Sabor. In this first edition, which will take place until June 19, 30 premises associated with the gastrotourism brand of the Provincial Council and is starring innovative proposals in which the zero kilometer product takes precedence. The prices are adapted to all budgets through a wide range of menus ranging from 25 to 50 euros. The deputy of Tourism, Virginia Martí, said that “the Gastronomic Spring is an exaltation of our gastronomy and local seasonal products, a way to show the benefits of the project ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ for which the Diputación de Castellón has been betting for years. Thanks to that, we want to show tourists and Castellón locals the best of our gastronomy this spring, contributing to deseasonalize the tourist activity”. During the course of the ‘Gastronomic Spring’ the best dishes of the province will be sought. “For this we will have the opinion of the palate of the citizens, who will decide with their votes the gastronomic proposals of the highest quality,” said Martí. There will be a winner and two finalists. The public that participates in the experience and in the voting will enter the draw for a gastronomic getaway ‘Castelló Ruta de Sabor’ for two people in the province. The valuation of this experience is carried out through a QR code in the same restaurant once the diner has finished his menu. The Provincial Council of Castellón provides a website where you can discover the restaurants participating in the conference and the menus prepared during the conference.
