Monday, 13 September 2021 - Castelló Ruta de Sabor

The meetings will be held between September 21 and 24 and are aimed at all those involved in gastronomy and tourism in the province.

The Provincial Tourism Board of Castellón, aware of the richness and gastronomic diversity of the province and the concerns of the sector, even more so after the situation caused by the pandemic, begins a new phase of the Castelló Ruta de Sabor project with the aim of reactivating the provincial gastronomic tourism offer. Since its birth as a food quality brand promoted by the Diputación de Castellón, Castelló Ruta de Sabor has evolved to become a gastronomic tourism product that brings together more than 200 companies and entities from different sectors related to the gastronomy of Castellón.

During the month of September, between 21 and 24, there will be a total of 6 days of presentation of the new phase of the Castelló Ruta de Sabor project, one in each tourist area of the province of Castellón, with the aim of facilitating the attendance of all those interested agents and focus on the uniqueness of each territory. These conferences were created with the aim of publicizing the work done to date, as well as to present the new features of this ambitious stage, including the development of gastronomic tourism master plans in each of the tourist areas, awareness and communication actions with public and private agents, training activities and technical advisory visits to companies, blogtrips and press trips, as well as learning trips to other destinations of reference.

The first event that will kick off the event will be held on September 21 at 17:00 pm at the Centre Cultural Palau de Vivel, in Vall d’Uixó, and will be attended by the deputy of Tourism, Virginia Martí. The following events will take place on September 22 in Vilafranca and Traiguera, on September 23 in Vall d’Alba and Llucena and on September 24 in Soneja.

The conference is a form of joint work with the public and private sector of the various counties and tourist areas of the province. They will be organized and coordinated by the Technical Secretariat of Castelló Ruta de Sabor, -in charge of the specialized consultant Dinamiza-. In addition to a detailed presentation of the ambitious work plan, they will include a participatory dynamic that will integrate the concerns and contributions of all participants, with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of gastronomic tourism in the province of Castellón.

The conference will be open to all producers and agri-food industries that have developed or are interested in developing the tourism aspect of their business, as well as tourism companies in the province that are committed to local products and contribute to the dissemination of Castellón’s gastronomic culture (accommodation, restaurants, gastrobars, stores, activity companies, etc.).

Due to the health measures in force due to the Covid-19 health crisis, in order to attend the conference it will be necessary to confirm attendance before September 17 through the following form, since there are capacity restrictions in the different venues where the conference will be held.
