What to visit and what to do

  • Visit Segorbe, the residence of Christian kings and Almohad governors, which has a rich historical heritage spread throughout its medieval quarter of narrow cobbled streets.
  • Visit the Segorbe Olive Oil Museum to learn about the evolution and importance of olive oil in the area and the traditional methods of production. You can also complete your visit with an oil-tasting session and buy the area’s characteristic oils, natural cosmetics and other local products in the shop.
  • Enjoy the gastronomy of the Alto Palancia in one of the restaurants in Segorbe with traditional proposals and gastronomic experiences full of trompe l’oeil that will surprise you.
  • Visit the Castillo de la Estrella, a natural viewpoint to enjoy the views of the Vega del río Palancia and Sierra Calderona, a landscape bathed by olive trees, orchards, almond trees and vineyards.
  • You can follow some of the routes close to the municipality, such as the Ruta de las Lagunas, the Ruta del Río Palancia (where you can visit the curious Fuente de los 50 caños) or the Ruta de las Masías, where you can see unique examples of thousand-year-old olive trees.
