Montán – Puebla de Arenoso – Montanejos – Arañuel – Cirat

What to visit and what to do

  • Stroll among the olive trees that surround Montán and go to the village to buy oil directly from the cooperative (weekend), where you can try the early local variety from Montán or the serrano variety from Sierra de Espadán.
  • Travel along the river Mijares between the municipalities of Montanejos and Cirat while you discover natural pools, the thermal spring of Los Baños and a landscape marked by water and dotted with orchards, irrigated land and mills.
  • Practice slow driving in the Arenoso reservoir and enjoy, in spring, the landscape of almond blossom in Los Calpes and La Puebla de Arenoso.
  • Visit the Ethnographic Museum of Montanejos, which has a room dedicated to the work of local olive growers and old mill machinery.
  • Follow the routes around the municipality of Montanejos to look for mushrooms in autumn.
  • Relax in the different spas that the municipality of Montanejos has to offer and rest after a day spent exploring the landscapes of water, olive and almond trees.
